.450 Bushmaster is a cartridge designed for big game hunting, specifically using ar AR15 style rifle. Similar to .458 SOCOM, this unique cartridge was designed to meet the needs of individuals who needed to use AR15 style weapons but take down targets much more diligently than any 5.56x45 could hope to.
